Cars sold 2 for 1 as sales crash

Nov. 20 (Reuters) - As car sales plummet, one UK website is offering 2 for 1 car deals on new autos.

Simon Empson of Broadspeed.com launched his novel idea earlier in November a 2 for 1 deal on Dodge Avenger SXT 2.4i models for 20,000 pounds (30,000 USD). He said the phone rang off the hook, his website crashed and he was sold out within four hours.

He is repeating the offer in another campaign, with the Kia Magentis, hoping to achieve the same sort of success.
